Our flagship offering, Battle Brains mock examinations are an ideal simulation of school selection exams. Each examination session lasts for 2.5 hours and includes two exam papers with a short break in between.
We produce our papers in three distinct styles:
- Battle Brains assessment
(excellent for CEM and internally produced exams);
- GL style assessment (multiple choice); or
- GL style assessment (standard format);
Battle Brains Assessment
Our unique Battle Brains format is ideal for students taking CEM exams, or being examined at schools which set their own exam papers internally. Papers cover English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning, containing a mix of both multiple-choice and free response questions. Questions draw on both the CEM and GL styles, as well as the exam styles of several leading schools.
GL Style Assessment
Students will complete two subject specific exam papers in one examination sitting, in either multiple choice or standard format. These are full length exam papers, intended to closely mirror actual GL examinations.
Different schools select different papers, based on their own admissions criteria, so it is important to check the admissions policies of the school(s) your son or daughter will be testing at before making a choice. We would be happy to advise you on the best option for your child, depending on your school choices.
You can choose any two subjects from the following:
- Verbal Reasoning; and
- Non-Verbal Reasoning;
Or, you can instead select our GL style combined papers, which incorporate elements from all of the above areas. Our combined papers contain all of the same question types featured in the full-length tests, but include fewer questions of each question type. This allows for all four subject areas to be examined within one examination session.
